Welcome to the year of the Rabbit and a joyful 2023! We hope this new year brings you happiness, good health, and prosperity. In this monthly update, we'll take a look at what we've accomplished so far and what exciting new developments are on the horizon.

About Cryptopia

Cryptopia is a next-gen metaverse game based entirely on the blockchain that provides players with a grand opportunity to earn as they play. From inception, it was created with the idea that it wouldn’t be like any other blockchain game out there, particularly because it’s designed with fun gameplay.

Cryptopia has actively been growing & developing, and we want to be sure our investors and community members are up to date with everything we’ve been working on.

Events

The month of January was a period of excitement for Cryptopia with several key events. Engaging AMAs, musical competitions, and the continuation of the "Share Your Photo" campaign kept the community entertained and informed. The appointment of Joey Alarilla as the new Philippine Ambassador, and the release of additional podcasts. However, the biggest event was the launch of Cryptopia on CoinMarketCap’s beta community feature, which marked a significant milestone for us!

AMA

To kick off the month, there were two insightful AMAs. The first was hosted by Cryptopia, while the second was a collaboration between our CMO, Pichapen, Cryptopia’s Philippine Ambassador Joey Alarilla, and content head of Playfix.io (we’ll talk more about him later in this update), and special guest Peter Ing, founder of Blockchain Space and head of Philippines for The Sandbox Game.

Our AMA took place on Discord, with Pichapen delivering the latest updates and our Content Manager, Divesh, focusing on updates in development. The community showed great interest and actively participated during the session, making it a successful event.

Furthermore, the AMA featuring Peter Ing from Blockchain Space was highly informative and took place on Twitter as part of Playfix.io's "Playfix & Chill" series. The TwitterSpace centered around the topic of Web3 in 2023. The AMA provided valuable lessons on how to overcome past challenges and how to navigate the Web3 landscape in 2023 with foresight.

Cryptopia Idol

Cryptopia Idol, our event, saw a huge turnout on January 31st on Discord. It was a huge success with record-breaking attendance, and we had the pleasure of having Onliner, a beloved community member and talented Swedish singer-songwriter, as a special guest judge.

New Ambassador Joey Alarilla

Joey Alarilla is Cryptopia's new ambassador in the Philippines. He is a Palanca award recipient and the founder of DigitalLifeAsia.net, a tech and entertainment media startup. Joey is also Head of Content at Playfix.io, a blockchain gaming platform. He is a passionate advocate of blockchain and Web3 and has been a tech influencer in the Philippines and Asia. He was previously a tech blogger for CNET Asia and a multimedia critic for PopMatters.com.

“Share Your Photo” Campaign

The "Share Your Photo" campaign began in December 2022 and ran into 2023, with the winners being announced. It was inspiring to see the level of engagement and excitement displayed by the Cryptopia community in response to the campaign. The goal of the campaign was to encourage members to show off beautiful moments during the holiday season.

Cryptopia on CMC

We recently launched our community page on CoinMarketCap and have been thrilled with the response in just the first month. We've received over 200 new followers and have seen enthusiastic engagement and interest in the game. The feedback we've received highlights the strong sense of community among our members.

Podcast Updates

We are proud to have recently released two new podcast recordings featuring our ambassadors Joey Alarilla from the Philippines and IceBBQ, also known as Pinky Prikwan, our ambassador from Thailand. These podcasts provide a wealth of information and insights from our knowledgeable ambassadors. We are eager to continue season 2 of CryptopiaCast in the coming months!
